Want to create a classroom display as part of your next kindergarten or preschool apple theme? These apple bulletin board ideas are just what you need!
Some of the fall apple bulletin boards shared below are informational, some display kids’ art, and some are meant to be interactive. No matter which one you choose, you and your students are sure to enjoy the apple board ideas.
In addition to decoration, the apple-themed displays allow the kids to practice a variety of early learning skills. You’ll find creativity, literacy, math, science, and fine motor skills abound!

I have to admit, I can be a bit picky when it comes to bulletin boards. I’m not a huge fan of boards that are just teacher-made and only for decoration.
I’d rather the boards be filled with children’s creations, information for the kids, or a game or an activity the students can interact with. Please tell me I’m not the only one! The apple bulletin boards run that gamut, which is nice.
Materials for Your Apple Bulletin Boards
Before taking a look at all of the apple bulletin board ideas, let’s chat supplies. Here are some of the materials you might need for the apple displays (I may get commissions for purchases made through links in this post):
- Butcher paper
- Stapler
- Bulletin board borders
- Construction paper
- Bulletin board letters
- Washable paint
- Apple cutouts
You definitely don’t need everything on that list, but a few of the basics would be a good start!
What are Bulletin Boards?
Bulletin boards are basically displays set up in your classroom or in the hallways of the school. They’re sectioned off areas, often corkboard, meant to house “bulletins” or pieces of information.
You can make bulletin boards out of a variety of materials beyond corkboard. Here are a few ideas:
- Whiteboard
- Chalkboard
- Foam board
- Directly on a wall of your classroom
- Laminated butcher paper
I’ve gotten creative with bulletin boards over the years. Because sometimes there’s just no corkboard available! You can use the apple bulletin board ideas on whatever surface works best for you!
What Types of Bulletin Boards are There?
As I already mentioned above, I have opinions about bulletin boards. 😆 Even if you aren’t as opiniated on the topic, it’s good to chat about the different options you have for your apple bulletin board ideas, right? Please note that this is my own categorization, not something that’s set in stone.
Here are some different types of bulletin boards:
- Informative – These boards share information for your students or their families to reference.
- Decorative – The purpose of these displays is to be pretty and decorate the classroom or hallway.
- Interactive – You set these boards up so your students can literally interact with them, often moving pieces or adding items.
- Child-Made or Display – The kids are the stars of these bulletin boards. You’ll add your students’ art, writing, pictures, and more to displays like these.
I don’t really like purely decorative boards, but I don’t judge educators who do!

Apple Bulletin Board Sayings
I am not naturally gifted when it comes to creating headings for bulletin boards! Some teachers are amazing at it, but I often struggle with labeling boards. If you run into that issue, I’ve put together some possibilities to use alongside the above apple bulletin board ideas:
- You’re the Apple of My Eye
- Apples for the Teacher
- Bushels of Fun in School
- An Apple-solutely Great Crop
- Kind to the Core
- We are One Sweet Bunch
- Our Class is Full of Good Apples
- An A-peeling Bunch
You can definitely tweak some of those ideas when adding a heading to your apple bulletin boards.
