Why Create Flower Art with Kids?

If you’re an early childhood educator, a parent of young kids, or someone who works in some capacity with children, you know kids like flowers. In fact, check your pockets. Chances are you have some flowers in there, given to you by your students!

Not all children like flowers, of course, but many are fascinated by growing things. Why not encourage that fascination and allow the kids to explore it through art?

On top of that, flowers are a great way to lead into learning about life cycles. Most children have some kind of prior knowledge of flowers. So we can build on that knowledge as we introduce and teach the kids about life cycles, living things, etc.
