Musical activities for kids are a must-have in every preschool classroom, and for every preschool themes! Young kids have SO much fun with musical activities.
And, not to mention, the many benefits music can have on young children. It is a great tool for teaching new information. Music can also help students get their energy out when combined with movement. It can also be very calming and a great way to help students regulate after overstimulation throughout the course of the day or to wind down for nap time.
The benefits of incorporating music into a preschool curriculum are endless, really. And, with that in mind, I’ve created a list of ten music and movement activities that your students are sure to love! Check them out below.

Music and Movement Tools
Singing and dancing are such fun ways to get students interested and engaged in learning. Adding these novel materials is the perfect way to expand on the winter song and dance activities while also adding some extra excitement for the kids.
So, I’ve created a list of some of those tools that will be a great addition to your preschool song and dance routines. I think you’ll find that they’re great for the wintertime, but they can be used all year long!
